Rwanda

Rwanda, officially the Republic of Rwanda, is a sovereign state in central and east Africa and one of the smallest countries on the African mainland. Located a few degrees south of the Equator, Rwanda is bordered by Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Though small in size, Rwanda is a beautiful country located near the equator. The nation is covered in mountains and is at a very high altitude with the lowest point being 3,000 feet above sea level. Visitors can enjoy a temperate climate all year round due to its high elevation, and a plethora of wildlife. Among the three national parks there is plenty of natural beauty and animals to be seen on a safari. The capital city of Kigali has also become more cosmopolitan and features a buzzing nightlife and shopping. see more see less
