Dominical, Costa Rica

Dominical is a beach-front town in the province of Puntarenas in Costa Rica approximately 45 km south of Quepos. It is famous for large, year-round waves and is well known by most surfers in Costa Rica. The town began as a small fishing village but has since grown into a tourist destination, most notably for surfers. Dominical is one of the most exciting regions of Costa Rica. There are endless activities and tours offered here. From the Surfing to scuba diving to white water rafting, you will have many options. This region is very popular amongst the adventuress crowd. But if you just want to relax and take in the sun then you can enjoy a day at the beautiful beaches. A very popular location here is the stunning waterfall in Nauyaca.
